Our History:
Kilkari, the embodiment of joyful dressing for kids in the woven fabric segment, was founded by Neha Gautam and Prabhat Gautam. Neha, an ex-NIFTIAN from the 2006 batch, had a vision of introducing style into the woven segment, creating garments that appealed to both parents and children. In 2009, Kilkari embarked on its journey in the kidswear segment from Ghaziabad, serving esteemed clients like Chunmun Stores and Bindal Stores. The brand rapidly expanded its presence, focusing on competitive pricing, top-notch quality, and collaborations with organized hyper-retail brands, including Reliance Trends and Easyday, reaching 40 locations nationwide.
In 2012, Kilkari was among the pioneers to enter the nascent online market, partnering with portals like FirstCry, BabyOye, and Snapdeal. The subsequent years witnessed the brand’s entry into mid-segment retail, collaborating with Arvind Retail Ltd. and Toonz Retail. Kilkari also ventured into TV retail with HomeShop18 (Network18 Pvt Ltd) in 2013. In recent years, the brand has concentrated on strengthening its online and TV presence, with Prabhat leading logistics and operations while Neha focuses on product development and marketing. Our Product Segment:
Kilkari is renowned for its simple yet high-fashion Indian ethnic wear for both boys and girls. It has also gained recognition for its vibrant and floral dresses for girls and toddlers. In the near future, the brand plans to expand into the ethnic wear segment for tweens, catering to both genders. At Kilkari, we refrain from using embellishments and instead focus on utilizing different textures and fabrics to create unique effects in our designs.
The New Ventures:
Exciting times lie ahead for Kilkari as we embark on a franchise model to expand our presence in Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and Multi-Brand Outlets (MBOs). We’re aiming to establish at least 10 new stores across the country by the end of the year. Additionally, Kilkari is setting its sights on international markets, including the Middle East and Europe, through strategic partnerships. We are committed to broadening our online and TV retail portfolio, ensuring that Kilkari continues to be synonymous with joyful and fashionable children’s clothing.
